Premium Rubber Mulch
Rubber mulch comes from shredded recycled tires that have had the steel belts removed. Its main purpose is to be used for playgrounds, landscaping, and horse arenas.
Rubber mulch generally consists of either waste tire buffing (shredded) or nuggets of rubber from tires that are ground up whole, after having their steel bands removed. Almost any tire can be used to make rubber mulch, including passenger vehicle tires and large truck and trailer tires. CRW’s innovative manufacturing process combines ecological soundness with state-of-the-art technology. After the recycled rubber is shredded to resemble wood mulch, we coat it with a trade-secret non-toxic colored finish to produce an attractive, durable surfacing agent.
What was once a worn-out playground that couldn’t be used has been transformed into an inviting place for children, thanks to help from the community and a volunteer from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office who spearheaded the project.
